Life in Pickering

Pickering is primarily a residential community, with many of the services and attractions commonly found in suburban areas. It is a family-friendly city with parks, cultural attractions, and great outdoor recreation activities. One of Pickering’s largest employers is the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station which is situated along the waterfront. Pickering’s western border houses the Rouge National Urban Park, which is approximately 2,000 acres and is one of the largest urban parks in North America. The north part of Pickering is comprised of beautiful rural hamlets and villages. Visitors of Pickering can have lots of fun at the Pickering Town Centre or at its many events such as the annual Food Truck Festival.
